What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies allow sites to remember things — preferences, login state, analytics events — across page loads.
Cookies on this site
| Cookie | Purpose | Set by | Type | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cf_* | Cloudflare bot-detection, DDoS protection, edge routing | Cloudflare (hosting) | Strictly necessary | Session – 30 days |
_plausible_* | Privacy-conscious page-view counting (aggregated) | Plausible Analytics | Analytics — first-party | Session only |
aff_click_id | Affiliate-click attribution when you visit an operator via our link | Affiliate tracking partner | Marketing — first-party | 30 days |
consent_state | Records your cookie-consent preferences | This site | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
What we don't use
- No Google Analytics. (We use Plausible specifically to avoid GA's data-sharing posture.)
- No Facebook Pixel.
- No cross-site retargeting cookies.
- No third-party advertising cookies.
Your choices
- Browser controls. Every major browser lets you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete existing cookies. See your browser's privacy settings.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control. We honor browser-level "Do Not Track" and "Global Privacy Control" signals — when set, we treat your visit as a consent-withdrawn visit and do not load analytics cookies.
- Opt out of analytics. Plausible Analytics is privacy-conscious by default (no personal identifiers) but if you want zero analytics regardless, install an ad blocker like uBlock Origin or set your browser to block
plausible.io. - Affiliate tracking opt-out. If you don't want a click counted toward our affiliate referral, navigate to the operator directly rather than via our link. There is no cookie set if you don't click our link.
Changes to this policy
When we change cookie usage or add a new cookie, we update this page and the "Last updated" date.
